What is SOPHIE ANNA jewellery made of?
All of our jewellery is made from certified recycled precious metals. We believe in using the highest quality materials – 925 Sterling Silver, 24k Gold Vermeil, and 9k Solid Gold.
Our 24k Gold Vermeil is made from recycled sterling silver and then plated with a thick layer of 24k gold.
What is gold vermeil?
Gold vermeil is a type of gold jewellery that is made to last. The base metal is sterling silver, meaning your piece is made from only precious metals. A thick layer of gold is then electroplated over the base metal. While it may sound similar to gold-plated jewellery, gold vermeil jewellery has a much thicker layer of gold. This means it is less likely to fade, tarnish, or wear off like gold-plated jewellery.
Gold vermeil is the highest quality jewellery you can buy that isn’t solid gold. It is an excellent affordable option for gold jewellery. In the rankings of demi-fine jewellery gold vermeil ranks as the highest quality affordable option.
Where is my SOPHIE ANNA jewellery made?
The SOPHIE ANNA studio is based in Brisbane Australia, this is where Sophie designs each piece and creates custom orders along with some of the collection pieces. We also have an amazing team of skilled artisans in Indonesia who handcraft the rest of the collection.
How would I care for my Sophie Anna Jewellery?
Each piece of SOPHIE ANNA jewellery is handcrafted and requires delicate handling. To maintain the beauty of your pieces, we recommend you do not swim, bathe, or shower in your jewellery. After each wear, wipe away any dirt and store it inside the SOPHIE ANNA pouch or gift box.
Sterling Silver and Solid Gold: We recommend you use a polishing cloth to clean off any dirt or tarnish.
Gold Vermeil Only: We recommend you clean your gold vermeil jewellery using a damp, soft cloth, but make sure to fully dry the jewellery before wearing it. Do not use harsh chemicals, jewellery cleaners, or polishing cloths, as this will affect the finish.
What if I don’t know my ring size?
If you’re unsure of your ring size, you can email us and request a ring sizing tool.
Alternatively, below is a simple way to work it out:
Take a piece of string and wrap it around the chosen finger. Cut the string where it meets end to end. Measure the length of the string, which will give you the circumference, and compare it to our ring table. If your chosen ring has a particularly wide band, it is often better to go up a size.
What if my SOPHIE ANNA jewellery needs to be repaired?
If a piece gets damaged and you need a repair, email your enquiry to email@example.com. Please note each case is unique, and once we know the details of your repair we can better advise.
Over time, gold vermeil (gold plating) can fade. This can vary depending on how you care for your jewellery. For a small fee, we offer re-plating and gold vermeil renewal services.
You will need to pay for shipping the piece back to us for repair.
Do you ship internationally? Do I pay tax?
We do ship internationally. All orders are sent from our Brisbane studio. Some countries charge duty and /or taxes, you will be requested to pay for this import fee by the postal service. SOPHIE ANNA is not responsible for any extra cost, duty or tax on goods once shipped.

How long will it take to receive my order?

How can I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation outlining your order details, delivery details and your consignment reference which you can use to track your order.
What if I’d like to return or exchange an item?
We want you to love your purchase and understand that purchasing online can sometimes be tricky. If you’re not completely satisfied or need an alternate size, you may return the item within 30 days of receiving it for a refund, exchange or store credit.

How will I receive my refund?
Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment. Once your return is processed, a refund will be issued for the merchandise amount. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to post to your account.
